Welcome

Welcome to Year 4! I am delighted to be joining Swalwell Primary School and supporting your child on their learning journey. In Year 4 we are becoming independent learners through questioning, investigating and creating. We have a rich curriculum that will challenge and extend our learning. A growth mindset will help us, allowing us to believe in ourselves and develop resilience. I hope that through mutual trust and respect everyday will be stimulating, rewarding and memorable.

Are you a supertaster?

Year 4 have been investigating how many fungiform papillae we have on our tongues, to find out if we are a supertaster, taster or a non-taster. If you are a supertaster that you taste flavours more strongly and might be a fussy eater. If you are a non-taster you tend...
