Thursday 12th July saw the end of the Primary Boss of the North competition that KS2 pupils have been competing in.

Mrs McCall was amazed to receive the following news:

Mangahigh is incredibly proud to have hosted Primary Boss of the North. It has been a fantastic competition, with over 3,900 students from 51 schools in the North taking part. We would like to offer our congratulations to all students who have participated! And now for the final results and prize winners…

Special mention to Swalwell Primary, who was a runner-up school (7th place with 4,936 points) and won a £100 Amazon voucher, which will be spent on maths and Computing resources/books.

Every student who earned 150 or more points during the competition has won a REAL medal! For us that meant 10 children

6 children from Year 6

2 from Year 5

2 from Year 4

I am so proud of every child that helped to get us to 7th. I can’t wait to do it all over again next year and let’s see if we can move even further up the leader board!

P.S. There’s a new competition currently running until the end of July for the whole of the UK. Currently we’re in 35th position, let’s see if we can move up.
