Year 5 have been studying the effects of the Blitz and bombings during WW2 on individuals this week. Using newspapers and photographs as sources of information they have been able to piece together clues about life under the threat of a bomb.

We even experienced several air raids complete with sirens, which meant all of the children needed to take cover!

All of the pupils realised how difficult life must have been with the constant threat of air raids and then the worry of homelessness, injury, disruption to food supplies, disruption to travel etc
