On Thursday Year 1 and 2 visited the Vue cinema in Gateshead to watch the Emoji Movie as part of the Into film festival. We all had sweets and popcorn whilst we watched the movie. Everyone had a great time laughing at the jokes, dancing and singing to the songs and afterwards talking about the different emojis. We then discussed the story once we were back at school and realised why being different is a good thing.
In class, as part of anti- bullying week where we celebrated ‘All different, All equal’, the children made their own emoji masks to represent themselves and celebrate what makes them different. We then used the emojis to create anti-bullying messages which we shared in assembly.
