Year 5 have been working on a very tricky investigation this week in maths – how many different ways can they arrange 5 squares?

Eventually they were able to find the correct answer of 12.

Next they had the even harder task of trying to arrange their 12 pentominoes into a rectangle, leaving no gaps. Silence fell as their brains worked overtime! After what seemed like an eternity, Lacey finally solved the problem!
