Over the last two years, Swalwell has taken part in a very exciting European cultural exchange programme. We linked up with schools around Europe to experience and gain from education in other countries. Staff from Swalwell visited primary schools in four cities.
The other countries that participated in the project were:
Poland
Romania
Turkey
Hungary
This week we hosted the final trip. Our visitors arrived on Tuesday, they were given a tour of the school, they took part in a clog dance event, were accompanied on outings to Alnwick Gardens, Bamburgh and Seahouses and had the opportunity to get to know local people and culture through assemblies and social events arranged by Mrs Lancastle- Smith.
Comenius has provided us with a fantastic opportunity to foster new friendships and has enabled us to gain valuable knowledge of other countries, cultures and communities.
